Headed by Chef Arno Janse van Rensburg, Maison’s Tasting Room and The Kitchen, with its seductive views of the vineyards, reels one in with equal measures of sophistication and simplicity.

THE TASTING ROOM

Every bottle of Maison wine, made from grapes harvested on our farm, has something completely wonderful and delicious about it. Each limited edition wine bottle is personally fingerprinted by winemaker Antwan Bondesio – a small detail that, in typical Maison style, reflects the personal attention and care afforded to every one of its wines. Guests are encouraged to stay a while, take their time over a bottle of Maison and celebrate the essence of good living. Alice Mfundisi our tasting manager will help you pair wines with your food – both at your table or in the Tasting Room. Alice is available for a full house premium tasting on request – or ask her for an introductory tasting, in which Shiraz is paired with our very own biltong and blue cheese, and Maison Cape Ruby port with dark chocolate and hazelnut truffles, all handmade by our chef.

Deli is the new big thing on our chopping block this season. Our chefs use our lemons, satsumas, olives, aubergines, chillies and other ingredients freshly harvested on Maison, to make lemon concentrate, preserves, pickled Jerusalem artichokes, Jalapeno relish, aubergine and olive chutney, as well as our own hand pressed extra Virgin olive oil. Chef Arno also makes delectable biltong, droë wors and saucisson, to add to our growing list of deli items like eggs and ciabbatta.
