Our acclaimed bistro-style restaurant is nestled among sprawling vineyards in the pristine Franschhoek valley, a short drive from the Cape Town’s culinary capital.

For the last three consecutive years, The Kitchen has been voted a Top 20 Finalist at the Eat Out Mercedes-Benz Restaurant Awards. In addition to the incredible food, The Kitchen is a place of laughter and relaxation. A spacious veranda spills out onto the rolling lawns where tables are strategically placed for outdoor eating. Whether you prefer an indoor or outdoor setting, The Kitchen is the perfect place to while the day away.

About the food

Food at its most fundamental

Simplicity is deceptively complicated to achieve. In fact, it’s taken us five years to create a menu that embodies our simplistic approach to cooking.

The result is a series of taste experiences that will surprise and delight your palate. Each dish has been stripped down to its essence, using flavours that enhance their counterparts without upstaging them. Because we use fewer ingredients, they have to be the best. Which means they have to be fresh. The majority of our restaurant’s produce is sourced from our farm, and the rest, as close to it as possible. It’s a new way of eating, pure and simple.

A First for foodies

Experience First Friday at Maison – a monthly event that’s fast becoming a tradition among foodies far and wide. Chef Arno and his team invite you to experience a celebration of taste where inspired culinary dishes and acclaimed wines come together in the perfect winelands setting. While live music and warm fires set the mood, the multi course menu has been carefully selected by Chef Arno to highlight different flavor combinations.

Please note that seats are limited and booking is essential.

When: First Friday of every month
Cost: R450 per person. (Includes starter, mains and dessert)
